Happy Pride Month! Here at Bestowal, we believe in inclusivity in all aspects of our process, especially with the brands that we support. It is always important to give back to the companies that are making a difference. This Pride Month, it is more important than ever to be an ally and show our support not just online, but also financially.

Here are a few Chicago-based LGBTQ+ owned brands that we love to support:

1) Asrai Garden

Asrai Garden was founded by Elizabeth Cronin in the heart of Chicago’s Wicker Park in 1999. Asrai Garden is a retail outpost known for stunning floral arrangements, luxurious fine jewelry, and magical curiosities.

2) Jennivee’s Bakery

Jennivee’s Bakery was founded by Jenni Vee, a passionate home baker who immigrated from the Philippines to the United States. Located in the beautifully diverse neighborhood of East Lakeview, Jennivee’s Bakery, an LGBTQ+ owned and operated small business, has become a beloved spot.

3) Christy Webber Landscapes

Christy Webber Landscapes is an award-winning full-service landscape provider and has tended to the lands of Chicago for over 30 years. 4) Women & Children First Bookstore

Women & Children First believes in the transformative power of literature. As intersectional trans-inclusive feminists, they believe books are tools for liberation. Since 1979, they have celebrated and amplified underrepresented voices. In order for feminism to remain relevant, it must be forever evolving.
